The thu'um pieces are amidst my most loved creations. I took inspiration from the shapes of viking jewellery and thus rearranged the dovazhul inscription for the FUS RO DAH into a circular shape. I wanted the necklace to appear unrefined though, something resembling a shard of rock from a wall of power or a clear piece of everlasting ice, in its crude form, etched to contain the dragon power. I work on polymer clay to make the sharp circle and patiently etch each dovazul rune on the surface, then, to achieve the high transparency, I cast a silicon mold and use resin to have the final piece. I styled different prototypes to make each of the final necklaces special, and at the end of the process I handpaint the glowing runes, the lights and shades and protect the paint with a sealant in order to achieve the final thu'um necklace.
